Threading calm, connection, and community

Many adults face changes in life circumstances that can disrupt routine, confidence, and sense of identity. These can be related to health problems, the end of a relationship, shifts in work or employment, caring responsibilities, relocation, or other major transitions. These disruptions can leave people feeling disconnected and unsure of how to move forward.

It was exactly what happened to me.

After a long period of illness, I found myself completely isolated and had no idea how to move forward. That was when the idea to create this project came up - to help people who were struggling, just like I was.

Lady Stitch is my response to the need of a safe space: by creating structured, welcoming embroidery sessions that combine mindful stitching, clear learning goals, and shared creative practice, I create a like-minded community where kindness is the glue that bonds us together.

The results have far exceeded my expectations: I have seen people regain confidence, improve their self-esteem and health. Some attendees were able to go back to full time employment, others have become volunteers at Lady Stitch and others started their own embroidery journey. I have witnessed friendships forming and it is a joy to see this community organically expanding.

There have been challenges along the way, of course, but I am no longer alone. I always find support among Lady Stitch community, be it a sound advice, an attentive listener or a helping hand, I feel supported and cherished. And likewise, I offer advice and help as much as I can.

Join us and be part of this beautiful community!
